WEDNESDAY, AUG 4 - "HAVE A HEART FOR DENNIS"
Celebrity Concert to Benefit Dennis Ferrante
DENNIS FERRANTE (Grammy winner/NY Chapter Grammy Governor) needs a new heart. Having recently suffered multiple heart attacks, some in his sleep while hospitalized, he is operating at 20% and is now classified as a 1-B heart transplant candidate. Apparently, medication, a pacemaker and the healing power of music are keeping him going, so this is all a race against time. Insurance only partially covers the medical and living expenses.
TIME: 8:00 - 10:00 PM (Doors at 7:00 PM for dinner patrons)

In 2000 Dennis was rewarded for excellence in his craft by receiving a GRAMMY for BEST HISTORICAL ALBUM for engineering on "The Duke Ellington Centennial Edition - The Complete RCA Victor Recordings (1927-1973). 2003 followed with another GRAMMY NOMINATION in the same category.
